Harper-isms at 23 months

Harper, you turned 23 months old yesterday. It looks like mommy really needs to get on the ball with planning your 2nd birthday party.

You are still obsessed with airplanes, just like last month.

You are into gasping at everything. Especially when your favorite cartoons come on.

Your vocabulary continues to expand, thank goodness! "Air-pane, uh oh, ok, yight (light), dee (dirty), coat, cuh (color), see, fee (fish), tea, all gone gone, outside."

You have quite a sweet tooth and I love this picture of you because it shows how your baby blues are the perfect mix of your daddy's light blue eyes and my dark blue eyes.



You are getting so big and it's all I can do to hold you for longer than 5 minutes.


We bought you your first fish last week. A betta named Gill.


Mommy accidentally sent Gill to fish heaven. She forgot to add the right chemicals to Gill's water when she changed it. Mommy is very sorry.

You still rock your plastic link toys as bracelets.


You are still very silly and you like hanging out in mommy and daddy's bed in the afternoons while daddy gets ready for work. By this point, mommy has no energy left and she welcomes an opprtunity to lie down.


Mommy bought you a bubble gun at Cracker Barrel and she thinks it's the best ten dollars she's ever spent.


You still love to color and mommy was recently brave enough to let you try highlighters on your coloring pad. Today, you gave yourself a yellow mustache.

You've been having some pretty intense temper-tantrums lately. You tend to throw them over nothing. Mommy gets frustrated when she doesn't understand what you want.

You really dislike going to the nursery at church. Each time we drive toward downtown and you see the tall buildings where the church is, you start to cry.

You are growing up so fast and become less and less like my little baby everyday. Mommy is still so thankful that she gets to stay home with you so that she doesn't miss a thing.
