Anniversary and other things

Yesterday, my hubby and I celebrated 3 years of marriage. I cannot believe it has been that long! I am so blessed to have him in my life and our relationship is stronger than ever.

Jimmy took me to Bridge Tender last night and the food was amazing! I wanted to take pictures of it, but it was such a nice restaurant I fought the urge. I'm sure I would have looked like a total dork.

Here we are, 3 years later!

Earlier yesterday, we took a trip to Richlands, NC to take a look at our new baby!!

A kiss for the puppy!

She is so stinkin' cute and I can't wait to bring her home! She will not be ready until Halloween weekend, so the plans that I had lined up may change a little. We are so excited but we're having a hard time finding the right name. We like Maya and Nahla, but aren't 100 percent sure of one yet.

Today, we went to demonstration day at the Police Department. We turned out to be the only ones there due to some miscommunication about the date. It was a lot of fun to meet some of the people Jimmy works with.

As I've mentioned before, Jimmy is interested in becoming a K-9 officer, so I had the opportunity to get a little up close and personal with one of the department's dogs, Arco.

My hubby later told me that my petting the dog made him very nervous! I know he sees them while they are working, but the handler gave me permission, so I went for it!

We have had a very busy two weeks and Jimmy is going back to work tomorrow. I'm not sure what Harper and I will be up to, but I'm sure it will involve a fair amount of cleaning, laundry and school work. Borrrrr-ring.

Bahama Bound.

Like everyone else who gets through a wedding, Jimmy and I were so ready to get away and relax on our cruise. We went to Nassau, Coco Cay and Key West. We had a great time, of course and I LITERALLY could have stayed on my float in Coco Cay forever! The water was so stunningly clear, I could see right to the bottom. We really want to go back in the next few years when Harper is a little older.

Jimmy polished off this entire bottle of champagne by himself. Need I say more?

Funny story about this sundress.... it's not a sundress, it's a night gown. I didn't realize it until Jimmy pointed it out AFTER we got back from being out all day.

I'm Feelin' Good

The morning of October 13th, 2007, my maid of honor and her boyfriend treated me to a great breakfast at the Goody Goody Omelet House (my request). I'm not sure what I ordered, but I am pretty sure I wasn't able to eat much of it. I do remember, however, the scent of the perfume that I was wearing that day. Some people may think that I'm crazy, but I purchased a new perfume especially for my big day, so that I would always relate that scent to our wedding. I had waited so long to be able to spritz it on, so I'm pretty sure I ended up taking a bath in it. Nonetheless, I loved it and I still have the same bottle. I wear it every year on our anniversary and it takes me right back to this day..

After breakfast, I went and had my hair and makeup done at the same salon. I did not have the opportunity to do a "test run" with the hair stylist or makeup artist, so I was VERY nervous about the end result.

All turned out well and I headed back to the hotel to relax for a little while. Again, I don't really remember what I did, but I headed to the chapel early to finish the decorations and for pictures. I could not have asked for a more beautiful day. It was a high of about 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Here are a few highlights:

Can you tell I was ready to go??

Getting the Unity Candle together.

So handsome..

Before the ceremony

We were leaving the reception and my brother was being gross, hence the look on my face. This picture is priceless...hahahah.
