We took him for his 18 month checkup and here are his stats:
Weight: 25lbs 8oz.
Height: 34.5 inches
He is in the 95th percentile for height and the 50th for weight. The Dr. suggested that we put him back on whole milk rather than 2 percent because in her words "he could stand to put on a little weight." She was not concerned about his weight and said that it was genetic by taking one look at Jimmy.
Here are a few photos of Harper in one of his new shirts before heading to the Dr's office:

(This is Harper's new smiling style... scrunched nose and open mouthed.)
Harper waited for his lovely Hep A and Flu shots.. poor guy.

Once he calmed down from said shots, I gave him my sunglasses and that seemed to lift his spirits a little.

Here is what lil man is up to these days:
~ He hugs anything if you ask him to.
~ His diet is growing. In addition to cucumbers and most fruits, he tried yogurt tonight at Jimmy's dad's house.
~ He is very affectionate with the ladies. (And it begins.)
~ He is bobbing his head to music. Gangster-style.
~ He adores the "Gummi Bear" song when I pull it up on YouTube.
~ When Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on in the mornings, I'll ask him to go hug Mickey, thinking that he will go hug is stuffed Mickey, but he hugs the TV.
~ He is really into hide and seek.
~ His talking is getting there. That was my main concern at the doctor's office and she assured me that all is well and it's hard to gage what is "normal" at 18 months. She also assured me that his limited vocabulary is not because he is not in daycare.
Yesterday, once Jimmy woke up from his coma-induced sedation dentistry, we ran out to Home Depot and picked up supplies to repair Harper's bite marks on his crib. We are going to be transitioning him to a toddler bed very soon, so we want to do the repairs as part of the process.

This morning, we got an early start and headed to Jimmy's follow up dentist appointment. It looks like he only needs two more appointments at the most and his cavity-filled mouth will be as good as new. We are going to look into some whitening for him once all is repaired and he will have a gleaming new smile!
After his appointment, we headed to Target for milk and to look at some toddler bedding. All I could find was the overly-boyish cars and trucks stuff. It was super cute, don't get me wrong, but all of his existing decor is "nautical" and I want to stay with that look.
We left Target and went to Chic-Fil-A to kill some time before his 11:00am haircut. I tried and tried to get a picture with Harper, but he prefers daddy since he is on vacation this week. I get no love.

Harper was in desperate need of a haircut and boy did he get one today. Jimmy always gets the say with his hair, so he asked for a little to be taken off the sides and back, even though Harper's "bangs" touch his eyebrows. It's a cute look though.

We've had a very busy week with Jimmy being on "vacation." We had planned months ago to head to Sea World in Orlando, but with our renter vacating out of nowhere recently, those plans came to a screeching halt. I am HAPPY to say though that our house is RENTED AGAIN!! The tenant was supposed to move in on October 15th, but actually moved in today. Even though Sea World didn't work out this time, we still have plenty of opportunities to plan for it again!
Til next time....
