For the second year in a row, Jimmy and I thought that working like crazy in the backyard sounded like a great idea on the 4th. We didn't want to dodge the crowds downtown or at the beach, and the idea of attending a whole-day parade in the July heat didn't appeal to us at all.
We are SO old.
So what do we do? We cut grass, weed eat, spray weed killer, cut back brush and rip out the wobbly walk way to our pool and start a better one. The huge upside is that we can just jump in the pool to cool down and keep working!!
We did grab some fireworks at a little tent in town. The kids waited all day for the sun to go disappear. Harper practically had to sit on his hands while we were trying to get set up :)
Hollin was not a fan of the noise.

Jimmy was ready with is permit in case WPD stopped by……..I told him it looked like a mug shot.
We had a really great, really productive July 4th!
